The 7-Eleven franchise is continuing to evolve.

The convenience store franchise has rolled out its Evolution Store concept into the Washington, D.C. and San Diego markets following the successful launch of a beta store in Dallas back in March 2019. The new Evolution Stores allow customers to test out the brand’s newest innovations and store formats, creating a testing ground in real-time that the retailer can leverage for its future expansion plans.

The latest iteration of the concept store was officially launched on February 21 in Washington, D.C., while the San Diego location is poised to open sometime within the next few months. Additional Evolution Stores are slated to open throughout 2020 in other U.S. markets.

Both of the newest stores of the 7-Eleven franchise will include a Laredo Taco Company restaurant as well as a wide array of exclusive products, features, and services tailored to their individual locations. Some of these include:

  • Self-serve coffee drinks available via touchscreen devices
  • Made-to-order specialty drinks
  • Cold treats bar with ice cream and frozen yogurt
  • Numerous beverages on tap, including tea, cold brew, and kombucha
  • Cookies, pastries and other baked treats
  • On-the-go specialty beauty items
  • Dedicated craft beer and wine selection
  • Mobile checkout

“These new stores are invaluable learning labs, where new concepts are tailored to meet the needs of the communities they will serve from sunny southern California to the fast-paced world of the East Coast. We will continue to evolve based on customer feedback and we look forward to creating the next generation of convenience together,” said 7-Eleven Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Chris Tanco.
